====== Simple Video Cutter ====== == Overview == Simple Video Cutter is a Windows tool for quickly viewing and editing videos. It is particularly suitable for longer recordings where only specific segments need to be saved. The programme runs FFmpeg in the background, allowing you to prepare the next video whilst you are editing. == Features == * Simple and intuitive interface * Supports common formats such as MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV * Multiple cuts per video possible * Automatic naming and organisation of clips * Multilingual interface (German, English, French, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese) == Installation == * **Installer version**: Download and install the file *SimpleVideoCutterApp-win-Setup.exe*¹. * **Portable version** : Download the file *SimpleVideoCutterApp-win-Portable.zip*, unzip it and run it¹. * **FFmpeg** must be installed: either download it automatically or install it manually and set the path in the settings¹. == Step-by-step guide == === 1. Open a video === * Launch the programme. * Select a file via ‘Open File’. Playback starts automatically. === 2. Navigation === * Play/Pause: Space bar or click on the video * Scroll the timeline: Mouse wheel * Zoom in on the timeline: Ctrl + mouse wheel * Fast scroll: Shift + mouse wheel === 3. Set cut points === * Start marker: [ key or click the Start button * End marker: ] key or click the End button; the middle mouse button can also be used * Multiple segments per video are possible by resetting the start and end points === 4. Export segment === * Add segment to queue: E key or ‘Enqueue’ button * FFmpeg creates the segment in the background whilst you are already loading the next video === 5. Edit the next video === * Switch between files in the folder: Next / Previous buttons * Repeat steps 2–4 for each video === 6.
